1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VaultDrop ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Service Description

VaultDrop is a cloud storage platform that allows you to upload, store, manage, and share files. All data is stored exclusively within the European Union. The Service includes both account-based storage and anonymous file transfers.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • Accounts are created by invitation only. You may not share your invitation or account credentials.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your password and any two-factor authentication methods.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload, store, or share content that is illegal under EU or applicable national law.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful software.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or third parties.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service for bulk unsolicited communications or spam.
  • Circumvent storage limits or usage restrictions.

5. File Storage and Sharing

  • You retain ownership of all files you upload. VaultDrop does not claim any rights over your content.
  • When you create a share link, anyone with that link can access the shared file. You are responsible for managing access to your share links.
  • Anonymous transfers are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after 7 days.
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

The VaultDrop name, logo, and all associated branding are our property. The Service's source code, design, and infrastructure are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

8. Storage Limits

Your storage is subject to the limits of your subscription plan. If you exceed your plan's storage limit, you may be unable to upload new files until you upgrade or free up space. We reserve the right to enforce limits at any time.

9. Termination

  • You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice.
  • Upon termination, your files will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VaultDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable national laws of the member state in which VaultDrop is established. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
